A Journey of Faith, Fellowship, and Unshakable Purpose
 

The story of United Women in Faith at Downs Memorial United Methodist Church began with a small group of devoted women who gathered to pray, study scripture, and serve with compassion. Rooted in faith and driven by love, they met in kitchens and church rooms, offering support to one another while reaching out to the community. Their early efforts—delivering meals, organizing clothing drives, and visiting women in crisis—laid the foundation for a ministry that would grow to impact lives near and far. These women believed that even small acts, when done in faith, could ripple out and make a difference.
 

Over the years, that seed of faith has flourished into a dynamic, multigenerational ministry committed to spiritual growth, leadership, justice, and service. Today, United Women in Faith continues to empower women, support families, and stand for justice—locally and globally. Through every challenge and every season of change, we have remained united in purpose and bold in action. We honor our past, celebrate our present, and trust that God—who has brought us this far—is still leading us into greater things.
